ABC Affirmations Flash Cards

When children can see themselves, they can believe in themselves! Liberated Young creates culturally affirming learning products that children can see themselves within. Flash cards, books, and puzzles are essential tools of early childhood education, but too often these tools aren’t representative of Black and Brown children and their experiences. This lack of representation impacts children in ways that extend far beyond the classroom. Through our learning products--like our wildly popular ABC Affirmations flash cards--and educational resources, we are working to reimagine education.

Liberated Young’s ABC Affirmations Black Girl Magic and Black Boy Joy flash cards are an empowering journey through the alphabet! Each card features an illustration of a beautiful Black child, a letter paired with a phonetic word, and an affirmation to speak life into your little one. You’ll also find a How-To card with instructions to make the most of your flash cards, two activity cards with ideas to further affirm and empower, and two blank cards to create your own affirmations together! We recommend using a dry erase marker (not included) for best results.
